Do you believe there are angels in the world?

"For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone." (Psalm:91:11,12)

Pace of Life

Today in Dai Joe's Sunday class, we discussed about "pace of life & hurry sickness". After completing a self eval, the result shows that I have moderate degree of hurry sickness. The signs and symptoms include (but not limited to): a constant sense of urgency, tension in close relationship, preoccupation with escaping, frustrated of not getting things done, sensing that time is passing too quickly, persistent desire for a simpler life, too little time for love, trying to do many things at once, lost a sense of gratitued and wonder about life, and gnawing feeling that there has to be more to life than this.

From all those points, the "persistent desire for a simpler life" hit me hardest. My definition of simpler life (pls place your comment until the end): staying in a cottage on a beach; enjoying the sun, the water, the songs played by seabirds, children's laughter, and a heart-melting lemonade. I am not asking for long, pobably once a year or once every two years. A temporary escape from the hurry pace of modern life (no press from school, work, family, friends, or churh). I am not asking much, isn't it? Or maybe yes... But well, still too early to tell.
